110 Mins Easy

LOAD: 33

110 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Keep it easy but also focus on good form. If you can increase your cadence without raising your heart rate, then give it a go.

PACE

Beckley 10k.Worked hard with a good start running up the first hill, then kept going trying to keep up with Choccy Sue/Jo Fellows ahead of me which kept the pace up. Eventually surprisingly passed them. Hit the 5.25 mile mark at 60 minutes so was hoping to get a 10k PB however the last straight part was longer than I thought! Pushed myself passing several people in the last mile. PB for this course and recorded on Strava and Garmin as a 10k PB but in fact my 10k PB is Barry Richards 10k at 1:07 in 2024 so will keep aiming for this. Still very pleased with my race. This year time 1:09:53 chip time. Checked the last time I did Beckley which was 2023 – time 1:16:14 so quite a few minutes faster this year.

Superb. Really impressed with this time and as you said, that was a big improvement on previous times at Beckley. Loving the positivity as well as just feels like you’re not far off your best again. So just keep up the work, tick off those sessions and I think that Barry Richards time might be under threat. Fantastic running Ellie
