60 Mins Easy-MP

20 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2)
20 Mins @ Steady Pace (RPE: 3)
20 Mins @ Marathon Pace (RPE: 4)

Rather than just head out and do 60 mins easy, this goes through the gears a little and will hopefully help you improve running economy as the speed picks up a little. It’s still a light session but makes the easy runs more interesting. Best done on the flat to hit consistent paces.

Roped in some willing volunteers tonight. 4 of us for a chatty progression run. Started easy at around 8:30 per mile. Finished at around 7:40 per mile.

Love the fact you got some company. I enjoy these sessions, just get you thinking about form when you push the pace a little. Often I find it’s when I hit the quicker pace that I feel better, which seems odd, but shows the importance of running with good form. Well done Dan
