Long Run – 120 Mins

LOAD: 350

120 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3-5)

2 hours is a long time to run and it’s likely it will get tough in the last 30 mins. So dig deep, focus on good form and keep going. You got this!

I’m always a bit wary of squeezing in a long run after a fast parkrun but hopefully you feel fresh after the holiday. Any problems cut back slightly.

PACE

11:45 pace so 15 seconds slower than my easy pace but longest run for a while & I went out Saturday night, no drinking but I was tired! Enjoyed getting back to running a distance again.

That’s fine. I think sometimes we need to just get time on feet for these and not worry too much about the pace. I do need to mention that Lou’s reluctance to loop back on this occasion did cause problems. In her defence I think she was probably just unaware some of the other runners in the group were much slower. But I just thought I would point that out. In truth and I shouldn’t admit this, it worked better for me as having the group spread out more meant I didn’t have to loop back so frequently, but I did lose half the group on the way back.
