Long Run – 120 Mins

LOAD: 350

120 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3-5)

2 hours is a long time to run and it’s likely it will get tough in the last 30 mins. So dig deep, focus on good form and keep going. You got this!

Another of these back to back weekends. All about building that aerobic base. If at any point this weeks feels tough just remember next week is much easier and then you only have 1 run prior to the Fox in the following week. So get through this week and it gets much easier.

PACE

Very easy pace for me, and really flat for a change. Nice tailwind all the way but actually due to the heat I could have done with it not just behind me. No niggles, kept it fairly steady but was running at Laura’s pace so we slowed a bit at the end as she was really starting to struggle. Did a quicker last km whilst waiting for the train.

There are some benefits to slowing down sometimes and I’m sure the chance to run with Laura far outweighs the slight negative of running at an easier pace. Sounds like a good run. Nice to be able to do those things together as well and support her.
