70 Mins Easy

LOAD: 175

70 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Keep the effort level down on these easy runs and focus on good running mechanics.

A slight drop back this week as we don’t want to overdo things before Sunderland Half next week.

PACE

Had a last minute free entry to a local 10k. I ran nice and steady as I thought this would only bring me 5 mins or so over the 70 minute target. Really enjoyed this one, all my splits were pretty consistent and I felt great at the end, I could have easily kept going for a few more miles. It was quite a hilly route and I felt really strong even up the last hills. I had my pace hidden on my watch throughout the run so was very pleased to see id done it slightly faster than blyth a few weeks ago with running so comfortably.

I love this feedback. No worries on entering the race, but thank you for taking it a little steadier and not going too hard. The fact you’ve improved your time in that spell, without pushing too much is a really positive sign. It’s lovely when we have races like this and we feel strong, trust me it won’t always be the case, but it’s certainly one to bank in the memory. Fantastic running Sarah and great to see the progress is happening already.
