AC Track Session

LOAD: 30

10 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2)

Group session as instructed (RPE: 7-9)

10 Mins CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Hastings AC have some really strong runners, so this is a very good session for sub 20 5k athletes. Tuesday’s they normally do longer reps and between 25-30 mins of running.

Recovery week so just the 4 runs, including 2 decent sessions.

FEEDBACK

ENJOYMENT

RPE

👊 Nailed my target

PACE

So this was a 4x 6 minute session, at 10k pace, so target was below 5:55 a mile, each mile was below 5:55 and the last was very solid 5:47! Pleased with the efforts and felt like I had more!

That makes sense now given the pacing. It does leave us a little short in terms of training points, but it’s a recovery week anyway, so I’m not too worried. See how you feel Friday but there’s the option to add another 30 mins on to that easy run if you wanted (or chuck in 30 mins recovery run Sunday). But you still want to be fresh for the big one on Saturday.
