Here we are!!! 100k!! This is what we’ve been building for. Whilst it’s a big leap of faith just remember of all the cumulative training you’ve done to this point. Prior to your first run this week you’d done 885.3km this year climbing 14,183 metres of elevation. Try and enjoy this as much as you can. Walking is a strategy and it’s sensible to do it early in the race as well. Take your time at the aid stations and fuel. Very best of luck. When it gets hard, embrace it. You signed up for this, to experience those moments, do what it takes to keep going, whether that shout obscenities at the top of your voice and or have a little cry. You can keep going.
