HR Spring 5K

LOAD: 25

10 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2)

5K @ 5k Pace (RPE: 8)

10 Mins CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

In Bexhill now. Fast flat route. Ideal for a quick time. Pace yourself at the start and then in those final few kms try and beat those ahead of you and not be overtaken.

It will be interesting to see who turns up. Not sure if Ashley is running right now? But if he’s not then you’re in with a chance here. I would say ignore the watch and just race. With that in mind, sitting on the shoulder of the leader, especially if you know you’re better than them is a good strategy. Personally I think a win and say an 17:50 is better than a 2nd place and 16:55. World Championship and Olympic finals are nearly always much slower because they are racing and not chasing a time.

Happy with the time and how the race went. Feel very confident that without the wind I would have been comfortably under 17.

Well done Fin, great result and it wasn’t easy on the way back. Shows how close you are to your best right now, if not right there. Good to beat some strong runners like Will and an excellent time.
