90 Min Long Run

LOAD: 240

90 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Keep this nice and easy. Focus on good form & efficient running economy.

I understand your anxiety about the 4 hour run and it would be a risk. Ideally we would want to get that in before London but I appreciate circumstances are different and obviously I need to react to your feedback after each run. Hence why I think, if time allows, to do a 2nd longer run this week. Now we have the daylight in the evenings it should be achievable.

Managed 5 miles in just over an hour. Knee was not playing ball at the start but kept going and got easier. Not sure what to do Sunday. May just see how it goes but if any discomfort will shorten. Only 3 weeks to go at that point!! I’m off to the gym tonight hopefully. Work permitting.

Well done Caz. Yeah you might find it will ease up as you do some miles. If I were you I’d head out Sunday and just see what happens. Perhaps reassess every 30 mins. It’s a tough one for me to call because only you will know how much discomfort the knee is giving you, so best for you to make that decision once you’re out there. But definitely and improvement from a few weeks ago with is promising.
