LOAD: 300

2km WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2)

6 x 1km @ 5K Pace (RPE: 8)
2 Minute Recoveries

2km CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

A simple effective session for runners striving for a 5K PB. Focus on trying to hit goal pace.

I know you only did a similar session a few weeks ago. But this will be what the gang will be doing Tuesday evening. If you wanted a solo session for variety just let me know. But this will be in the park making he most of the daylight we have in the evenings now.

Of course it was good to do that extra one. 6 x 1km. Good effort and so much better to run with others and push each other. Building well. Sunday long run will be really good. Still got a bad cough and am getting a chest x Ray next Friday. Got blood test results and they were fine, just low vitamin D. I think the cough might be related to digestion and acids from the stomach irritating the esophagus as I’ve had bad indigestion for some time. Hope I can fix it with diet, cut down coffee and alcohol.

You smashed this session. So impressed with both you pace and effort. Was great to see. Hopefully you can sort out the cough and stomach issues. Diet is so important, I have to be really strict as have lots of problems but putting good fuel inside us, really can make a difference. I enjoy my food much more now I eat healthier. Excellent work Conal.
