Keep it easy but also focus on good form. If you can increase your cadence without raising your heart rate, then give it a go.

Slow it down a touch. Should feel pretty easy to be honest. Anything around the 5km mark is good. You want to wake up Monday morning feeling fresh ready to smash out another week of training.

To be honest, I felt a lot more comfortable than I thought I would. I went on a decent hike on Friday with lots of uphill and then had some impromptu beers with an old friend. So, must admit, wasn’t relishing this today. That said, I felt good, strong on the hills, and maintained pace comfortably. I am currently an hour from Medellín for a few days and it’s a much nicer place to run than Bogotá, which helps!

Really pleased this went well, despite the doubts. That’s why it’s good not to always push the pace, takes off that pressure. That said, 5:00 per km is still a decent clip, so great job. Well done Ben, this sort of consistency across this plan will really bring some excellent results.
