Long Run – 120 Mins

LOAD: 350

120 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3-5)

2 hours is a long time to run and it’s likely it will get tough in the last 30 mins. So dig deep, focus on good form and keep going. You got this!

Just to say there is real flexibility at this stage of the plan, if you said for example I want to do parkrun Saturday we can easily squeeze that in my changing one of the other sessions.

As well as living 10 mins away from the Saucony outlet shop (another 2 new pairs of trainers) Dexter’s parents also live right next to Cannock chase which is very similar to Bedgebury. I took a 2 mile route up to the main car park then followed the marked 10k route so I didn’t get lost then took a slightly longer route back to make up my 2 hours. I really enjoyed just having a nice relaxed run in the countryside listening to some music. Nice to have absolutely no pressure and just get some miles in my legs. I’m a bit sore today but the glute held out pretty well…I was wearing my old trail trainers and they started giving me blisters towards the end….good job I got some new ones!!

Very jealous about the Saucony shop although not sure they would stock anything in my size to be truth. But this sounds like a cracking run and as you say, no pressure or expectation can make a run far more enjoyable. It’s good to throw one of these in from time to time. Well done Alice.
