Long Run – 120 Mins

LOAD: 350

120 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3-5)

2 hours is a long time to run and it’s likely it will get tough in the last 30 mins. So dig deep, focus on good form and keep going. You got this!

Slowly building up those long runs again with Lake Dorney the long term goal.

Very pleased with run started slowly along the front a very strong wind , the gap of 6 minutes was waiting for my group to start , it went off a bit quickly , keeping up with them. Ran up and down hills. I did eat and drink about 3 hours before I ran , with no after affects . The second hour was a lot quicker . I was pleased with the overall run , and it was mostly on pavement not my favourite . No niggles or injuries .

Well done Allan, good to cover that distance and nice to be able to run with the group as well. Are you fuelling on these runs now? It’s not that you need to, but it’s the chance to practice taking gels and get the gut used to them. That will be the difference between another 4:15 marathon and one much closer to 4 hours.
