All about time on feet. Don’t push the pace early on and ensure you are well hydrated and have fuel to take on at regular intervals.

I would be heading out on the trails for this one. See it as an adventure. Don’t worry about pace or distance, just go for time and enjoy the trails. That’s what ultra running and trail running is all about.

Knee held up. Lots of elevation, hills and difficult terrain including having to walk through tape fields over heads. It was a lot but good.

Glad you enjoyed it and a good time to get it done, so you can rest up over the weekend. Ultra running is definitely all about adapting to the terrain and the challenges it presents, completely different to road running. So whilst the distance wasn’t great, I think on race day it’s likely the route and conditions will be easy and allow more running. Well done Tina, good news about the knee as well.
