HR Spring 5K

LOAD: 25

10 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2)

5K @ 5k Pace (RPE: 8)

10 Mins CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

In Bexhill now. Fast flat route. Ideal for a quick time. Pace yourself at the start and then in those final few kms try and beat those ahead of you and not be overtaken.

Try and get back under that 30 minute mark. I know using others motivates you, so in those last few km really try hard to catch those in front and not let those behind pass you. This is a race after all. Hate those other runners for those last 10 minutes.

Target Time: 29:50 Target Pace: 9:35

That was tough, put the effort in and it hurt. Each mile was quicker, pleased as I was delayed on my return from golf ⛳️, managed to do a warm up.

If you’d be golfing most of the day then that’s even more impressive and to pick up the pace back into the wind is excellent work. Obviously not quite as quick as last year, but as I said to Sue, there’s a PB Runner 5k H2H Challenge starting soon, so perhaps running too fast right now would be detrimental for that competition. Well done Mark, another strong performance in tricky conditions.
