Long Run – 180 Mins

LOAD: 590

180 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3-6)

Time to make sure your fuelling and hydration is on point. 30-60g of carbs per hour. The longer the run goes on the tougher it will get.

This is your Beyond Trail 25km run. Obviously no worries if it takes longer than 3 hours. I just put that in there as a similar session. I hope you have a great time here and the trails are kind to you.

Really enjoyed it, I do prefer a trail run over a road race. Advertised as 15 miles but it was almost 16.5 miles. Should have known, trail runs are always longer than advertised haha. I definitely slowed down in the second half but although I had some walking breaks I was still running in the last mile, which is an improvement on Carlisle. I felt good heading to the finish, mainly just legs being a bit tired. Little bit stiff today(Sunday) but been for a walk and will take it easy on the leg work at my class tomorrow.

I have to say beforehand I was a little worried about the distance here and I’m super impressed with how you’ve done. To keep running as well towards the end is fantastic. 16.5 miles at this stage of the training bodes so well for the marathon in October, to the point I might even have to rejig the plan a little as not to hold you back. Excellent running Sarah and also so pleased to hear how much you enjoyed it as well.
