80 Mins Easy

LOAD: 200

80 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Try and keep it easy. It all depends on your current level. If slowly adding time to your long run the last 10-20 mins might be tough. Focus on good form.

There’s an option to swap this with some short speed work if you wanted? I just listened to what you said last week and wanted to include some bigger volume and easier miles. In fact the next 3 weeks only have 1 speed session, but then we enter a pretty hectic section of races, so I quite like the idea of reigning it in for a few weeks.

PACE

Took to the trail and enjoyed it. That knee was an issue yesterday when walking down hills. It was ok for the run but still something I’m weary of. Saturday sounds cool, definitely up for a run together with Parkrun at the end. Don’t worry about pace I’m happy to ease off a bit so leave the speed shoes at home. I’ll leave the route up to you.

Hopefully the knee will sort itself out. But yes definitely keep a close eye on it and let me know if it does get worse. You’re probably similar to me in that the time you do take out, you end up walking a long way. I generally have 1 rest day from running or S&C at the moment and often walk 10 miles 🙄 I’ll message about Saturday later in the week. If I forget though do reach out. Already have something in mind where we can run from home, meet early, do parkrun and then jog home again if need be.
