90 Min Long Run

LOAD: 240

90 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Keep this nice and easy. Focus on good form & efficient running economy.

I’m being kind with the long runs for a few weeks 😉

These rubbish runs seem to happen at least once a month. This was particularly crap. Didn’t have the stamina to run 90mins so just went for 10k instead. Legs miserable and muscles aching. Stopped a couple of times…just rubbish. Even my clothes and music felt wrong! Just not comfortable. Disappointing after a good week’s running. At least I was running when I saw you and Jax 🤣

It happens to the best of us and having the understanding that they come along from time to time. My only feedback would be that if you can then keep going for 90 mins, when things feel at their toughest you become even stronger mentally. But I appreciate how difficult that is. But you could say to yourself, right slow down, today I’m not going to get fitter from a cardio point of view but I’m going to get mentally tougher by sticking it out, even though it feels awful. And then when we find ourselves in those positions later in life, whether it be running or work or family we can dig deep and get through them as we are mentally tougher. And yes was lovely to see you too, it’s always great when I see one of my runners out and about. Well done Philippa.
