Long Run – 120 Mins

LOAD: 350

120 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3-5)

2 hours is a long time to run and it’s likely it will get tough in the last 30 mins. So dig deep, focus on good form and keep going. You got this!

You’ve done two really good sessions already this week, so don’t be afraid to slow this one down and keep it super easy. Often we can be too critical of our pace on these runs. Time on feet is all that matters here. That said still try and run with good form, just at a lower cadence.

Done. Did mean to include park run but dog woke me up earlier, so I went out earlier. I parked at park run and went out to Rok-a-Nor which was 30 minutes each way, then out to galley hill. Because of the heat and knowing it’s an easy run I consciously kept to easy run pace and was thankful. Legs left me in mile six (12:54 pace) but kept it slow but having to work to make it back. Felt bit of DOMS from yesterdays S&C (which is unusual for me but expected as I’ve had a few weeks off and it’s a new routine).

Really well done. It’s always hard when starting a new plan, especially after a successful previous one. So dropping the pace can often be the best approach to get the time on feet. We don’t always have to be running great and the idea is we peak at the end of each plan. 2 hours banked, especially solo is impressive. Well done Rebecca.
