parkrun

LOAD: 250

15 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

parkrun @ 5km Pace (RPE: 8)

10 Mins CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Running with others can reduce perceived effort so parkrun is a good option as an alternative speed session. 10 mins easy WU & CD please.

Having not done effort so far this week, use this as the chance to get the heart rate up.

I liked the new layout this morning although the start was still very congested by slow people starting too far forward including one woman with a double buggy not helping. Felt good though and it turned into a nice little progression run with miles of 8.00, 7.46 & 7.35 with the last bit at 6.38. The few days of rest and easier running were definitely beneficial I think.

It was definitely better especially at the end. I was quite near the front and there was a slow runner with her dog in front of me? What is wrong with these people? Yeah I think anytime you want to chase a really quick you’ll have to be a little selfish, but doesn’t matter too much at this pace, nice to get quicker as the run went on and finish with a fast split. Well done Andy.
