The only real mistake you can make here is going too fast. Try and pick a flat route as well. Hills will push that RPE too high.

If you feel frustrated by the lack of sessions this week, I kind of like that. Sometimes we just need to hold ourselves back before unleashing the chains for the next big block of training. 6 miles here.

Well I cocked that up a treat must’ve miss read my watch and do an extra mile, I was running with my heart rate on the screen so I guess I read a number from that when it beeped. I think I will have to start running a little faster as my heart rate along the seafront was 134 and I was doing under 7min mile, I must be getting a little it fitter I guess, or the easy week is doingbits job.

That’s pretty impressive pace at that HR. I do often ask myself the question, can I go faster at not increase my effort? Often the answer is yes and that leads to better running economy. But I guess it shows you are continuing to make gains which is brilliant to see.
