Should feel relatively comfortable this, but always good to get some extra miles in at goal pace.

Pacing me in the 5 Miler. Hopefully you get some enjoyment from this. It’s a nice way for you to be part of the event but without hating the whole experience. You’ll be cruising but doing me a massive favour, so thank you. 6:30 per mile bags me a new PB. That’s the pace I’m looking for and would love to run consistent splits. Cheers Steve.

Absolutely loved this what a way to spend a Sunday morning helping the person who helps me, was really nervous fist thing that I would cock this up for you but once I got going I settled into pacer mode and I think we nailed it. We went out sensible and then built on the turn and got faster each mile from there on in just the way it should be. I so happy to of been part of your PB and a very well deserved one at that, all the help you give to people through your coaching is wa nice to give something back and will always be up for doing it again well Done coach you deserved it. 👏👌

This feedback has made me really happy. I wasn’t sure if you’d find it frustrating in a race environment. But it was a good way for me to get you involved in the event too, which I think worked well. Your pacing was amazing, couldn’t have gone better. I think the only time I struggled at all was the end of Robertson Street at the start as we’d come out of the crowd and needed to settle. But then you eased off and I felt really strong. Same on the turn around, I think I would have gone too quickly there and you held me back which saved enough energy to push at the end. On a serious note. I think we got to witness how a good pacing strategy can lead to a strong race as we were pretty much passing runners throughout. Thank you so much Steve, honestly a race I will always remember with fond memories and I think in the future I may take you up on that offer of pacing again. Those splits have given me the confidence that goals like sub 40 10k and sub 90 minute half are within my reach.
