LOAD: 45

2km WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2)

10.3km @ HM – Marathon Pace (RPE: 6-9)

2km CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Hard to set a pace given the elevation. A tough route but a great race. Can be done as an easy run if you prefer. VIEW THE ROUTE.

Perfect race for you. I’m not going to set any targets in terms of pace and time, it’s not that type of course. The sensible thing is just sit on the shoulder of the leader through the first lap, look out for any potential obstacles. It can be muddy down through the woods and uneven in places, once you’re happy where you’re going then open it up. Good luck Steve.

Well that was bloody tough. The hardest 10k trail I have done for sure and the headwind made it that little bit worse. But none the less I got it done and to go sub 40min is good I reckon doing that on a weekend I could shave a min off that thou!! Always tough racing after a day at work but it is good to do from time to time.

So impressive. I’m not 100% sure how long that race has been going, but we’ve got results dating back to 2016 on the website and you’re the first person to ever go under 40 minutes. That’s pretty cool right. And done without anyone to run with either. Congrats on the win, also a really good session to progress the fitness as it’s hard to reach those levels running solo training runs. Fantastic work Steve.
