Long Run – 120 Mins

LOAD: 35

120 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3-5)

2 hours is a long time to run and it’s likely it will get tough in the last 30 mins. So dig deep, focus on good form and keep going. You got this!

I was a touch ambitious I think, my next LR like this I’ll be more mindful of my route! But still I got my maths right this week and got 2hrs done! Slower than a tortoise but I got it done! The storm made it an exciting run too!!! 😆 much hill walking too 🤨

My Sunday long run gang did a hilly route this week and it was evident how much their pace dropped as a result. So I wouldn’t be too critical of yourself for this pace. It’s all relatively remember. Personally I would prefer at the moment you picked a route which allowed you to run the majority of the 2 hours. Then as the weeks pass and we get closer to HHM, then add in the hills and slowly make each run a little bit more challenging. That way you can reduce the amount of walking, until eventually, hopefully, you can run the whole HHM route without walking. Well done Kirsty for getting the 2 hours in.
