Alfriston Trail Race

LOAD: 28

10 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2)

7Km @ Varied Pace (RPE: 6-8)

10 Mins CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Part of the 1066 Trail Race calendar. This route is 7km with 131 metres of elevation. 83% of the route is on trails.

This looks a really good race. The WU & CD are important as they contribute quite a bit to the weekly totals and mean you should be prepared for the race as well as recovering quicker for the next session. With over 100 metres of elevation it’s best not to worry too much about pace but focus on your effort level instead. That should be somewhere around 6-8 depending on the route and stage of the race. Very best of luck, hope you have a great race Lou.

Absolutely stunning run route! Hilly and warm! I really enjoyed the scenery. No niggles. Only 40 odd people running so not sure where I was placed. I know I was the 3rd lady though.

3rd lady. We’ll take that as a podium finish. At this time of year the trails can be a beautiful place to run. Really pleased you enjoyed it and sounds like you worked hard too. So really good from a training perspective. Excellent work Lou.
