parkrun

LOAD: 25

10 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)
8 x 100 metre Strides (RPE: 8)

parkrun @ 5km Pace (RPE: 8)

10 Mins CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Running with others can reduce perceived effort so parkrun is a good option as an alternative speed session. 10 mins easy WU & CD please.

As promised a chance to smash out a quick parkrun. Very best of luck.

PACE

Ok. Here’s the thing. Had a friend pace me. I had a panic at the start, but got my breathing sorted. I had my watch to watch setting so could t see pace-left that to Dan….. went out ok, then got a wobble and at the turn got in my own head. However. Using as a lesson. I’d not hydrated correctly on Friday. I need to learn positive mantras to get out my head. And don’t attempt a PB on a warm gay with 13mph winds. I was cross with myself. But…… it was the fastest I’d run for a distance for a while.

I think you’ve done my job for me here with the 2nd half of this feedback. It’s good to reflect and still be positive. The early pace was quite tasty too, so perhaps that played a part. But it’s a good session still with a high effort so that will have helped. So well done Kirsty.
