Kent Relays

LOAD: 25

15 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2)

3 Miles Approx @ 5k Pace (RPE: 8)

10 Mins CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

I think relays are great training as you are always likely to push yourself that little bit harder when you have team mates to run for. It’s still important to know your own pace and not go off too fast.

Very best of luck, where are you racing this time around? Work hard, an excellent opportunity to use an event to motivate you to push the limits.

First mile ran perfectly @5:42 then started to feel a twinge in the hamstring so took it easy the remainder of the race, the headwind on the return didn’t help either. 2.30mi total average pace 6:12.

Still a good pace Adam, but did the right thing. This hamstring issue? Any thoughts on where it started, the cause? Too many miles? Too much speedwork? I don’t feel like we’ve been pushing too hard, but obviously very important we do keep an eye on it and I’m happy to reduce the training temporarily to ensure it doesn’t get worse.
