All about time on feet. Don’t focus on pace. Instead keep that effort level down and concentrate on good running economy. Fuelling and hydration key too.

After a terrible night’s sleep and a rollercoaster of emotions I got out. I had rough planned the route yesterday so went with it. 3-4miles in something clicked and happy place again. Odd how running does that. Completely ignored the watch as I knew the route was 18 miles and ran at comfort pace. Turns out comfort was quick and I had to go and extra bit. Awesome to see a huge deer on route even if it did jump and run alongside me. Can keep this man from the trails for long.
