4 x 2 Miles

LOAD: 57

1 Mile WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

2 Miles @ Half Marathon Pace (RPE: 6-8)
1 Mile @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)
x 4

A big half marathon session for those who like to work in miles. A real opportunity to practice goal pace and build some confidence ahead of your race. Each rep will get progressively tougher, so dig deep towards the end of this one.

Definitely worth adding some rolling hills in here to mimic the challenge of race day and get an understanding of the changes in pace and effort. Big session this!! Go smash it!!! 💪

FEEDBACK

ENJOYMENT

RPE

🙄 Just a fraction slow

PACE

A tiny bit slower than I was hoping for but rpe was at the right level. Didn’t help that most of my one miles were started on a hill and the last 2 mile were no exception. But a good session to get in the legs, I were the England vest again which was nice.

Must be so cool to don that vest. So much harder to hit the paces when doing these solo. If that RPE is where we want that matters the most. Put yourself in a pack on race day and it will feel so much easier. Great work Steve and thank you reaching out Sunday about the 5K. I know a few of the team who would have just gone ahead and done it.
