Continuous Hills

LOAD: 32

10 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)
40 Mins @ HM-Marathon Effort (RPE: 6)
10 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Find a hilly route and push the pace a little. The uphills will naturally make the RPE increase. Try to attack the downhills as well, then ease off a touch on the flat. This is a session though so effort should be quite high during the 40 mins on.

Firehills would be perfect for this to really challenge yourself. Focus on RPE rather than pace here.

FEEDBACK

ENJOYMENT

RPE

😁 Good pace given the conditions/route

PACE

A decent swap to the planned session i think ended up being 45min of almost continuous hills only stopped a couple times to get my directions. Saved wu/cd separately so you can work out the load. Glad I swapped this as it was nice to be around other people for a change.

Perfect. Was really pleased when I saw the session. Perhaps even pushed yourself a little bit harder. I’m always happy if you want to do something like this. Running with others is great for our mental health as well as increasing enjoyment levels. Quite a few of the team in the past have gone to AC track on my recommendation. Great running Steve and no need to change anything up going forward.
