Half/Mararathon Tempo

LOAD: 33

1 Mile WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

3 Miles @ Marathon Pace (RPE: 5)
3 Miles @ Half Marathon Pace (RPE: 6)

1 Mile CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

A good session to mix up paces. WU & CD very important to slowly build the pace.

See how the legs feel post Tuesday, but good to get some solid miles in at HM pace ahead of Henfield.

Legs were trash on the warm up but came to live a little after the first couple of miles felt ok in the end. Definitely got fatigue in the legs which is good in a way but it makes the going tough. Hopefully the legs feel better for henfield half. Ended up going a bit quicker for each mile not really intentional but went with it. HY have another fun race on Tuesday a doubles relay 1mile each leg on the east hill then both runners do it together to finish so 2 mile total. I will probably have a go as its for fun. If it can be fitted in next week? Also I went up a level on my vo2 max now 71.

Another great session Steve. Pretty much in the tough section of the plan so the legs are going to be feeling. If they’re weren’t we probably wouldn’t be pushing hard enough. Happy if you want to do that relay on Tuesday. The session planned is scheduled again for the FOD week. To get the training effect we want you’d probably need a decent 2-3 mile WU/CD either side of the relay race though.
