45 Minute Tempo (HM)

LOAD: 33

10 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2)

45 Mins @ Half Marathon Pace (RPE: 6)

10 Mins CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Practicing goal race pace is essential, especially for a half marathon. It’s important we hit our targets in training so on race day it feels achievable.

Bit of a jump here but hopefully at half marathon pace you’re running with good form and a nice light ground contact.

ENJOYMENT

RPE

😬 Too fast

PACE

Cheated a bit with a down hill route. Was worried I wouldn’t be able to do it. Longest run since my injuries, with WU and CD. Slowly getting back into it. No calf or ankle pain 😊.

So many positives here and you know what, the downhill option was really smart given the circumstances, so you should actually give yourself some praise for that. Smart thinking in my book. So pleased the calf and ankle both felt ok. We just need to keep building slowly and hopefully this is the start of a nice stretch of niggle free running. Awesome work Lou.
