LOAD: 30

10 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2)

Group session as instructed (RPE: 7-9)

10 Mins CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Hastings AC have some really strong runners, so this is a very good session for sub 20 5k athletes. Tuesday’s they normally do longer reps and between 25-30 mins of running.

Recovery week, but still work hard on the track and keep the easy runs easy.

🙄 Just a fraction slow

PACE

Had fuelled really well. Slept well and done everything I needed, but just felt off the pace! Everyone has them days. Very lethargic but averaged a 5:32 pace across the splits. Started at 5:45 and sped up but wasn’t the best! But definitely not the worst!

I think we’ve all been there, as long as you keep working hard, even if the pace isn’t there that day, you’ll still get the same gains. Good to accept that, rather than be upset with yourself, so I like that attitude.
