60 Mins Easy (Hills)

LOAD: 24

60 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2-5)

60 mins on the flat is quite different to 60 mins on the hills. So it’s important to differentiate between the two and if you do a hilly easy run, to account for that extra training load and how it might impact the rest of your week.

HR Wednesday evening! 🖤💚

FEEDBACK

ENJOYMENT

RPE

😁 Good pace given the conditions/route

PACE

That was hard. A 5 effort rather than a 3. We ran down to Wellington Square then up towards the castle which is a steep hill. My heart was pounding and I was short of breath. Once we got down to a steady pace on the seafront I was fine. The climb up Maze Hill by St Leonard’s gardens was steep but nowhere near as steep as the first climb. Then I did the last half mile at a quicker pace and felt strong at the end. Tough for an easy run but satisfying.
Conal Tracey
That’s great feedback and important we tweak the long run not to over train this week. Especially given you’ve brought it forward a day. But well done Conal.
