Add some variety to your long runs and ideal if you are training for a specific half marathon time. Practicing goal pace is very important in training.

Key session of the week, trying to nail down that half marathon pace. You got this!! You’re running really well right now.

😬 Too fast

PACE

Pace = all of the above!! 😬 The hills at the end did me!! πŸ˜¬πŸ™„πŸ˜© Set out feeling a bit pooped but wanted to get it done this evening so I had the day with the family tomorrow. Felt knee and hip niggles to start with but that eased off, then felt a bit too strong and screwed up the pace on the hills at the end. Sorry coach 🫣

Well done Lou, always going to be tough to get close to goal pace on the hills but overall looks like you paced it well which is pleasing. It’s more about getting used to that kind of effort level that you’ll need to run at HHM, that is more important. As that’s going to be a race where you pace fluctuates a lot from one mile to the next.
