Barry Richards 10K

LOAD: 45

2km WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)
4-8 Strides x 100 Metres (RPE: 8)

10K @ 10K Pace (RPE: 7)

2km CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

An excellent opportunity to run a fast 10K. As with any 10k, be sure not to go off too fast, lots of the other runners will be, so settle into your target pace early on and then really dig deep after the turnaround.

Whilst we all search improvement I think at times that quest brings you anxiety. So I’ll give you one target here, enjoy it. Yes work hard, yes dig deep when it gets tough, but ultimately try and enjoy the whole experience of an evening on the seafront with positive like minded people. It’s not always just about the running, but the socialising and the chit chat before and after an event like this. Very best of luck Kirsty. If you’re not on the pace you hope, keep working hard because that will improve your fitness for the bigger races ahead. You got this!!

Fantastic!! So pleased for you Kirsty and you should be really proud of yourself over the past month when it would have been easy to quit when the training was a struggle. But you’ve turned the corner and are now getting the rewards for that. So keep up the great work and congratulations on your new PB!!!
