20 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2)
20 Mins @ Steady Pace (RPE: 3)
20 Mins @ Marathon Pace (RPE: 4)

Rather than just head out and do 60 mins easy, this goes through the gears a little and will hopefully help you improve running economy as the speed picks up a little. It’s still a light session but makes the easy runs more interesting. Best done on the flat to hit consistent paces.

😁 Good pace given the conditions/route

Was quite pleased to get this hour under my belt but times don’t really reflect the session plan. Tbh, it was so hot when I went out. I’m now at sea level again for a few days but the temp is roasting here, so struggled in 2nd half. No issues with ankle tho, which was also a bonus.

that’s great to hear about the ankle. That’s the most positive thing. I think going forward it’s important to be able to change your targets based on conditions. In particularly the heat. So it might be a case you just say, right today 10 seconds per km slower than my targets is a really good pace. But sounds like it went well which is great. Well done Ben.
