80 Mins

LOAD: 24

80 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Try and keep it easy. It all depends on your current level. If slowly adding time to your long run the last 10-20 mins might be tough. Focus on good form.

This is the Sweden 11k race. 2nd week back on the plan, no need to push hard here. Just go out and try and enjoy this one. Hence why I’ve put it as 80 mins easy. If it takes longer, so be it.

😁 Good pace given the conditions/route

PACE

New route this year from 8 k so unable to compare last years time. The first 8k ran very well. Good pace was ahead compared to last year. Then at 8k we turn back into the forest. Had to do rock climbing. Then scrambled over boulders , had to balance along planks of wood over wide drops . Had to keep looking where to place my feet as well look in the trees for the course markers. This mile took me over 20 mins. Then last half mile was able to run again. Was fun. Distance 6.4 mile. Pace 13.14 but the running miles were between 11-12 min pace. This weeks hill efforts were useful as quite a bit of up hill. Beautiful route.

Fantastic work Sue and so pleased you enjoyed it. Sounds like you were moving well during the runnable sections and I imagine the technical parts did at least add some variety. Glad you came through unscathed as well and lots of positives too take from this one.
