Half Marathon Race

LOAD: 66

10 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2)

13.1 Miles @ HM Pace (RPE: 5-8)

Stick to your goal pace early on and it should feel easy. Dig deep in those final 5km to achieve your goal.

Race the train! Always nice to do something a bit different. You’ve proved in recent weeks that you have the endurance to cover this distance now so just go out there and try and enjoy it. Run with a smile on your race and wave at the train (as you overtake it of course).

FEEDBACK

ENJOYMENT

RPE

😁 Good pace given the conditions/route

PACE

That was one tough race, with half a mountain at mile 8, so a serious achievement given the knee, heat, and time of day! Who runs at 14:05!!!! A difficult one to prepare for food wise, my stomach was doing summersaults most of the time, and sick 90 mins after 😳. All good now, but definitely due a bit of rest. Do you want some Welsh courgettes?

2:05pm. That is an odd time to start an event. But really well done Su. I think the biggest positive to take from this is you’ve banked a 3 hour plus run which is really good for the Ultra training. Sounds like a tough one overall. Thank you for the offer, but not really a massive courgette fan so I’ll save you a stop on your deliveries on this occasion πŸ˜‚
