A really big marathon session. Probably the largest goal paced session you will do in the build up to your race. Practicing goal pace in training is key if you are going to hit your targets on race day. Dig deep, this will be tough.

Because of the busy race schedule in September this is actually the 2nd to last Marathon session before Chester so make it count.

FEEDBACK

ENJOYMENT

RPE

😬 Too fast

PACE

Felt a bit rough this morning but no excuses and got out. The 2 mile warm up was cruel but I understand the need. Pace was a little fast but no toilet breaks today(none open) so a decent effort. The last 2 miles effort was very tough going but I dug in and kept at it. Feeling a bit more ready for it now. Garmin says 3hr 3min predicted time

This was epic. Garmin can **** off (sorry but c’mon) How can that can be right when you were going quite a bit quicker than target pace. To do that, solo, at that time of day, in the warm conditions, is brilliant. Confidence should be growing now. So impressed with this run. Can’t tell you how pleased it made me to log on to Strava and see this. Inspiring stuff Paul.
