60 Mins & Strides

LOAD: 22

60 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2-3)

8 x 100 metre Strides (RPE: 8)
60 Second Recoveries

Best done in a group!! Keep the RPE down, so you should be able to chat. Don’t forget those strides. They are very important. Enjoy.

Perhaps running with the Tuesday evening gang if you are busy with the Elaine Williams Run?

FEEDBACK

ENJOYMENT

RPE

😁 Good pace given the conditions/route

PACE

Really meant to do my run and strides but got pulled into the graduation/ newcomers run so ended up doing 7 miles with no strides. Oh well I will get them done somehow, maybe, possibly.

That’s ok. There not the be all and end all. Plus if you did 7 miles you will have definitely hit your training points for this session. Given your focus is on long distances during the plan, missing strides isn’t as detrimental to yourself as someone chasing a 5 or 10k PB. Well done on your part in the Walk to Run. Having started working with someone going through the process and what a difference it is making to her life, I think you should be super proud of what the club has done to help so many runners. It’s amazing. Thank you Jo.
