80 Mins

LOAD: 24

80 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Try and keep it easy. It all depends on your current level. If slowly adding time to your long run the last 10-20 mins might be tough. Focus on good form.

Nice easy one on the trails! 80 mins would be fine.

ENJOYMENT

RPE

🙄 Just a fraction slow

PACE

Cautious, slow run! Shin held out well but worried me throughout! Thanks for your previous comments though! I think knowing you have an event coming up makes injuries seem far more threatening!🤣 Amble should be useful to hopefully reassure me- and if not, at least let me know if I am taking on too much with shin as it is! On the plus side, both fitness and achilles are great!

Well done Anna. I know you hate walking hills. But I strongly recommend it this weekend. In fact with the shin I would almost go as insisting you walk the hills on The Amble. The fact they are so steep almost forces you to walk in truth and you’re going to do far more harm than good attempting to run them. Sunday is all about time on feet and just enjoying the trail. Honestly I have zero intention of running up any hill. Why? Because my goal is Chester Marathon and I know if overdo it this Sunday I put that goal at risk. The same logic should apply to you really. Sorry if I’m come across really strict here 😂 But just think it’s important given the shin issue to protect it a little.
