60 Mins & Strides

LOAD: 22

60 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2-3)

8 x 100 metre Strides (RPE: 8)
60 Second Recoveries

Best done in a group!! Keep the RPE down, so you should be able to chat. Don’t forget those strides. They are very important. Enjoy.

Leaving Sunday as a rest day ahead of the Kings Head Canter.

I’d planned to do my long run yesterday after completing DIY. Run to Horntye, run, run home. No chance – DIY completion was around 8:30 by which time I was stuck in that ‘Elderly people crossing road’ shape, like a bit of paper that had been rolled up and won’t go straight. Straightening provoked harsh pain in legs and buttocks. So, I ran to my hairdresser’s appointment in Bexhill this morning, around 1 hour 10, not a long run. As I’m off to Chester tomorrow, fitting in runs will be tricky especially as Andy is resting his painful knee. I’ll liaise w coach by WhatsApp re how to manage this week. Good news – I was able to uncurl this morning and ran with some pleasure now it’s cooler and I had no Achilles twinges.

😂😂 I actually feel the same some days when I have spent too many hours curled up in my computer chair. I think it’s important not to worry too much about the training at the moment and enjoy your Chester trip. I’ve edited the plan over the next few weeks, so come the end the overall workload will match the original schedule. Sometimes (only occasionally) there are more important things than running. Well done Sarah and thanks for making me laugh.
