60 Mins & Strides

LOAD: 22

60 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2-3)

8 x 100 metre Strides (RPE: 8)
60 Second Recoveries

Best done in a group!! Keep the RPE down, so you should be able to chat. Don’t forget those strides. They are very important. Enjoy.

PACE

I think this was about right. Tough crowd they are quick. Half of them were capable of being in 5.5 but I think they choose me as I tend to plan my routes with long stretches they can run on. Cassie was there so had some back up. Booked to see Alistair see why my hip is tight. Can clearly run on it and stride on it but then it goes all stiff and uncomfortable. Fell asleep on the sofa for the second time! Think I need some rest so a weekend off might be good.
Louise Cavill
Well done Lou, thanks for leading again. Personally I think you’re just due a week off, looking at your Strava it’s going to be 20 weeks on the spin soon without a break. It can be difficult to take them from time to time as it feels like a step backwards but perhaps your body is telling you right now, it’s what you need. We could reduce it to say 4-5 days of consecutive rest and then at least that way you don’t miss out for a whole week, but at some stage taking a break will help.
