parkrun

LOAD: 30

10 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)
8 x 100 metre Strides (RPE: 8)

parkrun @ 5km Pace (RPE: 8)

10 Mins CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Running with others can reduce perceived effort so parkrun is a good option as an alternative speed session. 10 mins easy WU & CD please.

Headed for eastbourne pr – car broke down. Went back to run hastings with family ……should have checked, thats jet lag for you. But: Went pm to david lloyd ran wu, 5k, wd on treadmill. .75k wu, 5k @ 4.48 pace, wd. So all bar strides done, & will do them monday. 4.48 was all I felt comfortable with at the end of wu, could have got down to 4.24 during, but preferred to keep steady pace. On treadmill warm down I always look at hr – I look for < 90, I got down to 84, so I'm happy with that.

Oh no. That’s frustrating, shame as I was at Eastbourne on Saturday. But well done for still getting the 5k done on the treadmill. I always find it much harder to run quickly on the treadmill so I wouldn’t worry too much about the pace. Good to see the HR dropping to a decent level in the CD as well.
