300 Mins

LOAD: 90

300 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

You should only be doing a run of this length if training for an ultra of 50 miles or more. All about time on feet, an opportunity to work on fuelling. Don’t worry about pace.

Brighton to Rye was it? Fuck. That’s a long way. Obvious ignore the 300 mins. It takes however long it takes. Have fun.

😁 Good pace given the conditions/route

PACE

Wow wow wow…what a day and what a run! It wasn’t really about the pace today but I’m very happy that I covered that distance at comfortably under 11 mins/mile, which is easily the fastest pace that I’ve ever run that distance at. That’s also with not stopping my watch at all, which of course is what I’d do in an ultra, so I wanted that to be a true reflection. There were a couple of points in which I struggled – the long flat slog from Pett Level to Rye wasn’t very nice, and the first part of Rye to Battle was tough, but in general it was quite a comfortable run. Aching a lot today, so will be stretching and may do a little bike ride to help loosen the legs. So grateful for everyone that supported and donated

So much respect for what you have achieved here. What a fantastic thing to do and an amazing amount of money to make. Every reason to be super proud of yourself and creating lifelong memories. From a running/coaching perspective it’s exciting how you managed to do this many miles at that pace and bodes well for future Ultras. Awesome work Joe.
