parkrun

LOAD: 30

10 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)
8 x 100 metre Strides (RPE: 8)

parkrun @ 5km Pace (RPE: 8)

10 Mins CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Running with others can reduce perceived effort so parkrun is a good option as an alternative speed session. 10 mins easy WU & CD please.

Always good to chuck in a quick parkrun from time to time. Will be interesting to see where the fitness is here. Good luck. You’re running really well right now so confidence should be high.

FEEDBACK

ENJOYMENT

RPE

🤬 Way off pace today

PACE

Felt I was off pace this morning think I ran too fast to begin with. Still Enjoyed the morning and even though park run was off plenty of people down there running who didn’t know it had been cancelled. Did strides, drills and WD with Jim which was great 😊 👍

There will always be days like this. And when you get them the focus should be on your RPE. So it can be good just to check in with yourself and ask that question, how hard am I actually working? If your working to that 8/10 then great, don’t worry about being slightly off pace, you’ll still make those gains, if you are at a 6 or 7/10, then inject that little bit extra to really get the most out of the session. Sounds like a fun morning though. Kinda leaves me questioning why I bothered to run all the way to Eastbourne to find a parkrun to join in with 🤦‍♂️
