Plan 8 – Week 7

  • 18th August 2025

park walking with Jax and I’m going to the gym Sunday to do some weights as it’s important that I’m losing fat but not muscle.

I had gone to real efforts to write war and peace about my week but then it deleted it so I’m going to do a brief recap.
it was a good week except falling asleep before two runs and when my hip hurt could have ducked out and didn’t and when I didn’t have headphones could have ducked out and didn’t!
#smashed it.

but I’ve been looking at the calendar and I was thinking of doing ancient trails and rye to Hastings and my long runs but not sure how that will go down in the training?

also I have no efforts next week! Sad times!

Got a tight hip flexor! Blatantly the hip which I cross my leg over! Needs more stretches! Alistair happy that he’s unlocked my back and I don’t need to go back and see him.
he said it would have gone away but I said yeah best to get it checked!

  • Pts: ✅ Yes, it feels right

COACH

Great week Lou. 115pts is an excellent return and some extra Sunday coming too. Keep that relatively comfortable ahead of the race on Monday. I think desk posture is very important too. Something I’m very guilty of and trying to improve. But if we sit with bad posture it can undo a lot of the good work we do. Love the idea of including both the Rye Ancient Trails and Rye to Hastings as part of the plan. I’m going to find a way to do both in my training as well, much better than a normal Sunday long run. Let me know if you definitely want to do them and I will add them in.
