Plan 6 – Week 15

  • 18th August 2025

long swim at Rye tomorrow!

After the fatigue earlier in the week, finished off feeling strong with 150 mins this morning.
Doing a long swim in the morning at Rye for my final session of the week.
Been a good week.
Just one thing, and donโ€™t tell the bimblers; I love our Thursday evening runs, but theyโ€™re so stop and start I donโ€™t feel like I get a lot from a training perspective. I was thinking of adding another one in if that would be beneficial? Either Wednesday or Thursday morning? What do you think?

No injury issues

COACH

Great work Sue. With the long swim you’ll definitely have hit those training pts for the week. Probably a bit more. I won’t say anything about the Bimble, I’m a little surprised in truth given most of you are on the team. Perhaps it’s worth just saying something to the group to encourage them to stop less? As they would all benefit from that. I think the most important thing we ensure is you have a day off. That’s crucial. Would you be doing these sessions on the treadmill? It might be the weeks you’re not doing a long long run (as the Ultra is approaching) we could include something extra. Also would you be doing that as an addition to the Bimble? If you’re keen to do more, then I definitely want to find a way for you to do that.
