Really like this session. A chance to practice your 10k pace, but break it down into chunks to make it manageable. Enjoy. You got this.

Bit of 10k work ahead of Battle! Could incorporate parkrun if you wanted.

FEEDBACK

ENJOYMENT

RPE

🙄 Just a fraction slow

PACE

I didn’t enjoy this session at all, but I got it done. Hot and tough, I struggle to feel motivated when doing speed sessions alone, races and efforts are fine. Bit off my paces, some due to turnarounds or the headwind. 10k sections were @ 4:02 and 4:07. 5k section @ 3:49. Needed a rest after so logged the cooldown separately.

Well done for completing it Sam. I’ve set up a “Training Group”. The idea being to try and team people up who might have solo sessions like this. Let me know if you wanted me to add you. It might take a while to grow and get enough people on there, but I like the concept. As for the run, if the RPE is there, it’s still going to be productive, even if the pace is a little off. Solo sessions, as you say, are much tougher, but they can make us mentally stronger.
